Regular Season Round 7: Weissenfels - Valmiera Glass 89-69

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of LatvianValmiera Glass (2-1) in Weissenfels on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by leader German MBC (3-0) 89-69 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Valmiera Glass. They outrebounded Valmiera Glass 38-26 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Weissenfels shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American-German Spencer Reaves (191-1995, college: Central Mo.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. MBC's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnian center Omar Pajic (205-1999, agency: PEPI SPORT) answered with 13 points and 5 rebounds and added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for Valmiera Glass. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MBC have a solid series of three victories in a row. Weissenfels maintains second place with 3-0 record behind leader Voluntari, which they share with Opava. Valmiera Glass at the other side keep the third position with one game lost. They share it with 6 other teams.
